Certificate in International Travel Industry Studies

Award: Certificate of Achievement in International Travel Industry Studies (long distance learning (Endorsed by IAOT, Galileo Ireland, World Travel Centre and South East Regional Airport and PSARA. Supported by many leading Travel Industry Employers.)

Approximately 80 hours study time required. The course is divided into seven sections: general, cabin crew member, passenger service agent, basic IATA fares and ticketing, travel agent, reservation sales agent, interview preparation. The course material is of the highest quality and is recognized as such by Airlines and Travel companies worldwide. Students are required to sit a 2 1/2 hour end of unit assessment at an agreed location. Upon successful completion they will be awarded a Certificate of International Travel Industry Studies from the International Academy of Travel.

This course is aimed at candidates who would like to enter the Travel Industry or for experienced Travel Personnel who are currently working in the Industry and would like to work in a different area.

I am aware that I must obtain 80% in my final written IAOT examination paper and also pass my progress tests throughout the course in order for me to successfully complete the course and receive an IAOT Certificate of Achievement.

The Academy does not warrant that the course material is entirely up-dated but will use its best endeavours to ensure that the information is updated at regular intervals.

IAOT reserve the right to change the content, format or presentation of any of it’s training materials at any time, without prior notice. However this will be done only to enhance the course.

The writers of this course take every care to produce it as accurately as possible and is written based on the instructors knowledge and experience. However the Academy will not assume responsibility or liability for errors or omissions.

Home Study Students

For students taking this course as home study the following applies:

Final Examination will be held several times throughout the year at the Academy Head Office at South East Regional Airport, Waterford, Ireland.

Overseas students can take their final examination in their own country, providing that they arrange with their local college to facilitate this and meet the costs associated with it.

The college must meet with the Academy's approval and must follow the guidelines set down by the Academy to facilitate the exam.
